There are a few
guidelines I ask everyone to follow,if they wish to interview me.I'm
actually a very personable friendly person, but I just like to get
everything out in the open first,so people know what I wish to or
not to talk about.
#1 Don't ask me sexual questions.I just think that is
inappropriate,especially for a female.I don't even bare my
breast in photos,so I'm REALLY not going to tell the whole world
things like sexual position preferences.Plus I don't see how
asking me if I "like it up the butt,or not" has anything to do
with my being a artist or model. #2 Don't ask
me if my involvement is body modifications and suspensions is a
sexual thing,it's not,it has nothing to do with that, and anybody
that ask that has a dirty mind.
#3 And lastly don't ask me juvenile questions like "are your
dolls like Chucky, and will they kill people if they buy one",I
have a really good sense of humor but things like that are just asinine and
annoying, allot of my work deals with seirous subjects like child murder ect,So
it's almost disrespectful to the subject matter to ask that.
#4 If the interview is for a print magazine,I ask that I revive a free
issue of the publication with the article or photos in it.
#5 Please credit my photographers,if you use a photo of myself.Just
drop me a line at the e-mail given on the bottom of their page, with a
description of the photo you want to use,I will either put you in contact with
the photographer so you may request the rights to use the image,or in most cases
I can just give you the go ahead and give you the name or link to credit the
photo to.
#6 And lastly PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE spell my name correctly it's UGLY
SHYLA,and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get my website URL correct that is
WWW.UGLYART.NET ,If I find either to be
correct I will insist on a correction.
Sorry to have to send you these guidelines, but it helps nip
things in the bud,and keeps me from having to look like a
asshole and having to say I'm not going to answer this and that
question.
It's just better and more pleasant for everybody involved if I
explain to people what I'm not comfortable with ahead of time.
And you'd be surprised at home many times I have been asked
really perverted questions about things as a part of a
interview. Thanks
Ugly Shyla
